There she stands - Final Part

Then she drew closer
Trying to bring me nearer
I gasped for breath
Cos I could cope no longer

“I’ve been watching you,
Keeping observation on you
I’ve noticed certain things
So you better come clean.”

“I don’t think I know,
What you are talking about now
I’ve always kept to myself
It’s none of what you think.”

“Surely I have noticed,
The way look at her
The way you stare at her
Will you deny or clarify?”

Now I had no choice
The dagger had already been drawn
No need for any fuss
Either I talk now
Or I die trying
“It’s partly true what you said
But it still wouldn’t be fair
To dwell just on one side
And leave the other end lose.”

It’s true I look and stare,
And sometimes ocassionally glare
But I do it to one person,
And its you and you alone”

I tried to restrain myself
But the words had already come out

The smile on her face
Put my heart at ease
She stared into my eyes
As her smiles grew broader

“I always dreamt of this day
And finally it has come
I’ve been waiting to do this
To hear this from your mouth.”

She brought her face closer
As I closed my eyes
Then I slowly parted my lips
Trying to savour the moment

I was shocked at the first thought
And image that entered my head
I remembered I carried her bag
Which had formed beads of sweat

Then I felt her cheeks touch mine
A feeling so divine
I couldn’t imagine this was happening
But unfortunately she had missed the mark

“I can’t believe you fell for this,
But anyway it was carefully planned and executed
It wasn’t really about love
Am sorry my dear but its April Fools’ Day.”
